Radiant cooktop surface element checks bad
Radiant cooktop element is checking bad. A visual inspection reveals a burned spot on top center portion of the coil. We can assume that this element is most likely bad. By using a digital meter we can confirm this . Setting the meter on ohms and placing the red lead one side of the coil and the black lead on the other side of the coil we get a reading of OL. M ohms Indicating a open coil winding .The element will have to get replaced.
