Ge bake /broil gas ignitor reading bad

GE  bake /broil ignitor reading bad.The oven complaint would be will not Heat .To test ignitor use a digital meter and set it to read ohms. Place the red lead of the meter and touch one end of the ignitor wire and the black lead of the meter to the other side ignitor wire. The picture shows OL. m ohms, indicating a reading of a bad ignitor. This ignitor will have to be replaced .

  1. Hi, not sure what the range in my house is, but the broiler doesn't work. Is there a troubleshoot that can be utilized amongst all makes? Thanks

Yes, all broil elements need 240 volts to work but you would have to test for the voltage at the terminals of the elements This can be dangerous, so I recommend testing the actual broil element for resistance. I have provide testing you're broil element procedure Under blog archive. hope this helps you.
